This past week we got to go up north to my family's cottage near Traverse City, Michigan. I've been coming here almost every summer since I was Emma's age, and it's so cool to be able to bring her here now and watch her experience all the same memories that I have up here as a kid.

Great pictures...spurring a couple of thoughts. Back in the day, we camped in the park at Sleeping Bear Dunes. Aside from being a truly beautiful area, I recall skunks walking around our campsite while we cooked...and no flush toilets. Secondly, we now have a spot in the Smoky Mountains we started going to when our daughter was 11. We go there every year and our daughter is now 35... and our oldest grandchild is 15.
The grandkids talk about vacation all year long. Powerful memories to connect hearts and last a lifetime. You have a great treasure....thanks for sharing it.
