Building a Park in Our Neighborhood
I got to spend Saturday morning helping to build a new park in our neighborhood here in Yorkville. The city Parks District held a community wide build and about 100 residents showed up to get the park put together in one day. Despite the rain we got it done and it looks great. Of course, not being very skilled when it comes to building stuff, I contributed mainly by digging holes, holding up posts, and hauling wood chips. Nonetheless, Emma was very excited and is still talking about how "Daddy built a park for Emma." :)
