"Christian Nation?" Documentary
Last night we played host to a couple of young college guys road tripping across the country this summer and next to film a documentary about American Christianity. The title of their project is "Christian Nation?" and they're going around talking to pastors, professors, journalists, and ordinary Christians (and non-Christians), asking them the following questions (among others):
  • Is America still a Christian Nation or was it ever one?
  • Is it a true perception that Christianity in America is a lot weaker and divided than it was before?
  • Is Christian unity important and how can it be achieved?
  • How is Christianity perceived by those outside the church community?

When they were interviewing me they also wanted to know more about the emerging church as I was the first emergent leader they had talked to. Afterwards I was able to give them names of a bunch more emergent folks they ought to talk to. Anyhow, it should be an interesting project. I can't wait to see the finished product.
