Busy, Busy
Lot of irons in the fire right now. This has been a busy few weeks. I had the Ask God taping last week, and Emma's second birthday party last Saturday. We had an up/rooted meeting this past Monday, plus two more up/rooted branches meeting for the first time next week (kind of feel like, as the main coordinator for the area, I should be there to support them). Plus I'm taking off for a denominational conference tonight and Julie's already left for Portland for the NW Emerging Women Leaders conference. And somehow Julie and I have suddenly become conference planners ourselves. She's planning the Midwest Emerging Women's Gathering in March, we're both working on an Emergent Midwest Gathering in Chicago this summer, I'm working on a Faith & Politics Forum and Environment Fair with the Kendall Environmental Coalition over the next few months, and I've been recently been asked to help with some preliminary planning for a Brian McLaren conference coming to Chicago in early 2008. Oh, and I've also signed up with Wedding Pastor USA to start doing weddings for some folks that are having trouble finding a minister.

And of course all this is on top of the usual week-to-week church stuff. So yeah, it's busy life...

Cool - Carissa has always said that when she gets married she wants you to do the ceremony.....LOL. (She plans FAR ahead....)

May God grant you sense of normalcy in the midst of the busyness. May you really experience God as you go...and may you sleep well in all of your many adventures.

I know the 'busy, busy" vibe. It can be consuming. May it not be as such for you my friend!
