And we're off

The packing is nearly done, the truck is here, and now we have to load it and drive 1100 miles to Austin, Texas. As of Monday morning we will no longer live in Yorkville, Illinois. It seems strange to thing, though it hasn't really sunk in yet. I guess we've just been too busy getting ready. And I think it will still feel surreal for the next month or so until we are able to get settled into a place of our own. I'm going to miss the Midwest and all our friends here, though I can't really say I'm going to miss Yorkville specifically. We just never really "fit" here. I guess that's probably a big part of why the church plant didn't work out. Hopefully Austin will be a better fit.

Mike, Julie, Emma and Aidan: May your trip down here be uneventful, but your new life here an adventure! Texas will be better off with you here, and Austin will be a good fit for you. Are you going to do your work at UT, or are you planning on commuting to Waco for school?

Either way, blessings on you all as you travel--
