Stormy
I'll be heading to Dallas this weekend to perform my first funeral. It will be for Julie's grandfather, Roland "Stormy" Goss (1920-2008), who passed away a few days ago. I only got to interact with him on a few occasions, but he was a good man with a lot of interesting stories about his life. Julie has posted more about those at
her blog.

Hi Mike,
Sorry I didn't read this post sooner. I read on Julie's blog about her grandfather's passing and that you all were going there for the funeral, but I didn't immediately conclude that you would be officiating. I pray that the LORD would be with you today and that each of the family members and friends might receive some comfort in this difficult time through the words that you share. It's a great gift and a service to be able to walk with your family in this manner. I pray also that your love will be seen by this and thus will strengthen your witness to the love of GOD.
Blessings,
Shlomo
