Cool Movies!
The full-trailer for the new Star Trek movie is out and it looks frickin' cool. It's an origins story that looks like it follows Kirk and Spock from childhood to their beginnings on the Enterprise. Not only that, but it's also directed by J.J. Abrams (creator of brilliant shows like Alias and Lost), and his style is evident even from the snippets in the trailer. Check it out:

I'm also looking forward to the Twilight movie this weekend. Julie got me into the books (I usually don't go for vampire novels, especially ones primarily written for teenage girls) and they're actually not too bad. Based on the trailer, I'm a little concerned about the quality of acting, but hopefully it will still be entertaining.

After the movie, Julie and I will also be attending a Vampire Prom sponsored by the Alamo Drafthouse here in Austin. It should be a lot of fun.

Ooooh - I heard it was BAD. Even the teenage girls were calling it the worst movie ever. Sad.
Have fun anyway!
