Speechless...
I'll probably have more thoughts on Obama's victory tomorrow, but right now I'm just in awe that my five-month old son was awake and watching the TV (though obviously unaware of what was going on) when this nation, founded on ideals of equality yet also on the reality of slavery and exclusion, elected its first African-American President. This is history in the making, and he was here for it.

Right as we walked in the door last night they called Ohio for Obama.

Jen and I just looked at each other and agreed it was over at that moment.

it made leslie and me so so so happy to be sitting in our living room with our 17 year old daughter between us, watching this amazing moment in history together.
