Snowball fights in Hell
Wow! Who would have thought that we'd see the day when President Bush actually admitted that his administration made mistakes? In big bold letters this morning on the cover of both the Sun-Times and the Tribune it read "Bush: 'I take responsibility'". The full quote was as follows:

"Katrina exposed serious problems in our response capability at all levels of government and to the extent the federal government didn't fully do its job right, I take responsibility."

I think it says a lot about this administrations chronic unwillingness to admit to any mistakes or failures that on the rare occasions when they do it makes the front page in big letters.

Now if only we can get Bush to admit to his other mistakes, like starting a war on false premises, killing thousands of innocent Iraqi citizens, failing to catch the real terrorists, squandering America's good reputation among other countries by acting so arrogant and imperialistic over the past five years, playing fast and loose with our economy and our civil liberties with ineffectual bureaucracy like the Department of Homeland Security and the Patriot Act, etc... but I'm not holding my breath.
