So I'm here at our church planting group's
Healthy Reproducing Churches Conference in Urbana, IL, and the speaker,
Glenn Smith, starts talking about how our cities are increasingly diverse, and how as church planters we need to be aware of all the different ethnic sub-cultures around us. So, during our table discussion time afterwards, someone from our church asks whether I know the ethnic breakdown of Yorkville. Since I had my laptop open and connected to the hotel's wireless, I said "Just a minute", and within moments I had downloaded
demographic stats from this past year for our entire town.
How cool is that! :)
