Unrestricted immigration is a dangerous thing -- look at what happened to the Iroquois. They failed to impose border controls and before they knew it, they were dying of infectious diseases they had no names for.
Probably so, now that I think about it. Does sort of fit the
"http://wockner.blogspot.com/2007/03/garrison-keillor-apologizes-to-gays.html">Keillor pattern. I'll hope that it is, since I like him and the alternative option of his being serious about that is pretty nasty.
Thanks for pointing that out to me. The internet has exposed me to such a wide variety of extreme views that I've lost the ability to detect sarcasm and irony. :-)

Yeah, since I listen to Keillor on the radio and read his columns fairly frequently I'm used to his satirical style, but I have found that a lot of people who aren't familiar with him tend not to pick up on the irony or tongue-in-cheekness.
Personally though I think as a satirist Keillor ranks right up there with Mark Twain and Stephen Colbert. I love his stuff. :)
I would've thought that the problem had more to do with a lack of medical knowledge than with immigration.
