An Inspirational Life
In the midst of all the tragic stories of the Virginia Tech victims, aerodynamics professor Liviu Librescu stood out to me as a true hero. Librescu was a Holocaust survivor, later resisted the Communists in Romania, had a brilliant career as a scientist and finally, at age 76, sacrificed his own life by holding off the gunman while his students escaped out the window. There are better ways to die, but not many better ways to live.Technorati Tags:
